DIY Honey Face Wash For Every Skin Type

Honey has become the newest health food craze, but did you know it’s also great for your skin? It’s rich nutrients help retain moisture in our skin cells. Honey also prevents your skin from drying out, which prevents wrinkles.

How do we use this natural cleanser? Here are four recipes for a honey face wash that are designed with your specific skin types in mind:

Honey Face Wash for Dry Skin

  • 1 Teaspoon of Raw Honey
  • 1 Teaspoon of Plain Whole Milk Yogurt
  • 1 Teaspoon of Mashed Avocado

Mix ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Apply to your face and rinse, or let the mixture sit as a mask for 10-15 minutes. The fat in the avocado will moisturize your skin, where the lactic acid in the yogurt refines pores.

Honey Face Wash for Acne-Prone Skin

  • 3 Teaspoons of Raw Honey
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon

Mix honey and cinnamon together until cinnamon is completely combined. Apply to your face and rinse, or let the mixture sit as a mask for 10-15 minutes. The honey and cinnamon act as an antibacterial to the skin. Be careful, the cinnamon could also irritate sensitive-skin.

Honey Face Wash for Sensitive Skin

  • 2 Teaspoons of Raw Honey
  • 1 Teaspoon of Aloe Vera

Stir the aloe and honey together and apply over your face. For super-sensitive skin, let the mixture sit on your face for 10 minutes before rinsing off. The aloe will calm your skin and sooth inflammation.

Honey Face Wash for Dark Spots and Acne Scars

  • 2 Teaspoons of Raw Honey
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Lemon Juice

Combine the lemon juice and honey. Apply to your face and rinse, or let the mixture sit as a mask for 20 minutes. The lemon juice will brighten your dark spots and the honey will make your skin smooth and soft.
