How to Do a High Hair Bun Quickly? (Step by Step)

We all have days when we are lazy, running late or our hair just won’t cooperate. I usually use this hairstyle for days when I don’t have enough time to wash my hair. This is also really quick to do so you won’t be spending hours in front of the mirror trying to achieve it.

Step 1 : Start off by brushing your hair so you may get rid of tangles and be able to control it better. If you have curly hair you may want to straighten your hair first, or if you want it to be more messy just go ahead. This works better with second day hair so it has more grip.

My hair is naturally straight so I just brushed it thoroughly so I don't have any tangles.

Step 2 : Tie your hair in a high ponytail on the top of you head. You may position it in any place you want, even to the side if you want it. Just make sure you tied your hair well with a good hair tie or otherwise your bun may fall and you will end up with a low bun instead.

I gathered all my hair in a high tail by flipping my hair in front and grabbing all of it so it's easier to get the tail on the top of your head.

Step 3 : Start twisting you hair in a spiral and then wrap it around your hair tie. Make sure you are not twisting it to tight, just loosely. This will help the bun get a more defined shape and longer stay. It doesn’t need to be perfect, just try to keep your hair in a bun shape and as thigh as possible.

Step 4 : Secure your hair with another hair tie that matches you hair color. You may use bobby pins to shape the bun until you are happy with it. You may also pull out hair pieces for more volume.

Step 5 : You may add any accessories you like, like bows , bandanas , hair clips or anything that you have to make it more fun.

I added an blue fabric to my bun so it matched the denim jacket I am wearing.
