Fashion weeks have unleashed a whole new set of trends for autumn/winter 2013-14. The one that got my attention is the rebirth of the two classics, black and white. Yes, you can say that these two colours actually never got ‘out of fashion’. I mean, which girl doesn’t have a basic white shirt, plain black trousers and a blazer in her wardrobe, right? But this year black and white dominated the runways and rocked the fashion world in astonishing new combinations. We could see it from Alexander Mcqueen, where Sarah Burton brought fashion history back to life in once again an extravagant collection, always romantic and fairytale-inspired Valentino collection to Balenciaga, where Alexander Wang made his debut.
So, black and white are back in all their glory!
And if you don’t believe me, believe the one and only:
“I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.”-
