New York Fashion Week finally finished up on February 19th, after an exhausting 96 designers showed as part of the official program. One of the final shows was Calvin Klein, where Sienna Miller and Anna Wintour sat front row as guests of honour.
The show itself has already been praised by critics. Like a number of other major designers this season in New York, there was a heavy seventies influence, with lots of leather and shearling. Lou Reed was credited as being a major inspiration, so there was a definite rock and roll edge!
Sienna Miller showed her support by wearing a gorgeous white Calvin Klein coat to sit front row. She fully embraced the winter white look with a white mesh mini dress, although she added a firm contrast with chunky black platform heels. The neat, minimalist look showed off her gorgeous blonde bob, which she wore styled in messy waves with a pronounced side part.
Next to her, Anna Wintour offered some very different inspiration for winter dressing! Forget minimalism – Anna’s outfit was all about print and colour. Her floral dress was made more winter appropriate with a navy blue fur scarf and deep red tights, as well as knee-high boots. As usual, she also wore a pair of dark sunglasses.
Model Harley Viera-Newton was also in attendance, wearing a comfy-looking long grey cardigan. Laura Love kept her outfit even more casual, with loose trousers, a tank top, and a cardigan all in shades of grey.
Giovanna Battaglia showed another way to wear bold coloured fur in winter – her bright red coat is a serious statement piece! Caroline de Maigret, on the other hand stuck to a perennially-chic palette of head-to-toe black.
It’s a shame that New York Fashion Week is over! Which shows did you enjoy the most? And who do you think has had the best front row style?
