Rising star Dakota Johnson was the epitome of vintage glamour outside the Christian Dior show in Paris. It looks like she’s establishing herself as one of the fashion world’s big new names! The Christian Dior show is of course one of the most elegant events of Paris Fashion Week, and this season was certainly no exception. Guests wore a combination of classic and edgy outfits paying homage to the many different styles the Christian Dior house has dabbled in.

Dakota wore one of the most understated outfits – but it definitely still turned heads! She wore a strapless black top with tuxedo-style detailing to the front, and a pair of tailored black trousers. She completed the look with patent black heels, a small black bag and a plain cuff, for an outfit that was minimal but very striking.

Singer Lorde also wore head-to-toe black, but in a very different style. She wore multiple layers and textures, including black sequins and a Victorian-inspired bustle skirt. The vintage mood was added to by her pointed high-heeled boots. For a totally modern twist, however, she also added a black backpack.

Hailee Steinfeld wore very similar boots, but otherwise stayed away from black. She wore a bright orange knit dress, adding a splash of colour to the guests gathered outside the show.

Stella Tenant was another guest who chose to wear one of the sequin turtlenecks that Dior sent down the runway at the Pre-Fall show. She teamed hers with far more casual pieces, including boyfriend jeans, sneakers, and a cape jacket.

Blogger Chiara Ferragni wore a pretty printed dress, shrugging off her black coat to show off her outfit properly.

Elena Perminova also wore one of the sequin turtlenecks, pairing hers with a cropped sleeveless houndstooth jacket and wide-legged white trousers.

Whose style do you like best? Do you think these sequin turtlenecks will become a hit?
