I am starting off this list with a dark and cool all-black outfit. It is consists of a black sweater, a black denim jacket, ripped jeans and leather boots. The rough feel that comes with the denim jacket and the ripped jeans can really give you that tough look that you may want to have fun achieving every once in a while.

This outfit can simply make you look so cute and adorable that I can easily associate with a beautiful tennis player. This black and white outfit just kills it. The white part is made of the white t shirt dress and the sneakers. The black part is represented by the black oversized denim jacket. I love this and it is easily my favorite outfit among the list.

Wear with White Vest Top & Grey Jeans

As mentioned in another blog post I wrote about grey jeans, they have the unique feel that can’t be achieved with jeans of mainstream colors such as blue, black and white. There are times when we just want to dress in a low profile way that still looks decent enough, and the grey jeans in this outfit can do just that. Pair the jeans with a white vest top and a black denim jacket.

Wear with Red Hoodies & Skinny Jeans

I have to confess that I am as much a basketball fan as a fashion fan. If there is a bridge that connects the basketball world and the fashion world, it has to be the Air Jordan brand. Although I didn’t get the chance to really see Jordan play back in the days, his brand simply breathes black and red. So, everytime I see black and red, I think Air Jordan and I think greatness. That’s just my little story behind my love for the black and red color combination.
As a good example of wearing these colors, you can wear a red hoodie with a black denim jacket. Pair these pieces with black crop jeans and leather ankle boots to complete this smart looking outfit.

Washed Black Denim Jacket with Leggings & Boots

Here is another one that looks low profile yet decent. Wear a dark grey top with a black denim jacket. Pair them black leggings with suede ankle boots. It is one of those outfits that you can quickly put on and go grocery shopping or drop by your neighbour’s home.

Wear with Black Skinny Jeans with Tie-around-waist Plaid Shirt

Wear is another outfit idea that uses one of my color combination: the black and red. For the top, wear a white v neck t shirt with a black denim jacket. Pair them with black skinny jeans and ankle boots. The final touch that turns the outfit from a typical outfit to a eye catching one is the tie-around-waist black and red plaid shirt. I like this kind of style so much that I actually wrote a blog post about how to style a tie-around-waist shirt or jacket.

There is a lot of things going on with outfit and I am referring to the beautiful way of the layering. You really have to dig into the details to appreciate how the layering make this outfit look so good. It consists of the oversized grey t shirt, layered under a comfy oversized green sweater. Layering over these pieces is yet another oversized item in the black denim jacket. That’s not all with the outfit. The black skinny jeans and the heels are there to keep you look lean and balance out the oversized top. The loose-top-tight-bottom is a trick that prevents you from looking clunky when you are wearing oversized items for the top.

Wear with Off The Should White Blouse

As the black denim jacket, especially a heavily washed one, has that feel of roughness, if you want to style it in a more ladylike way, you can balance it out with a white off-shoulder blouse. Complete the outfit with skinny jeans and ankle boots or ballet flats.

Oversized Black Denim Jacket & U Neck Black Mini Dress

You can achieve a stylish and relax feel when you pair a t shirt dress with an oversized jacket. As a good example of such outfit, pair a black u neck mini dress with an oversized black denim jacket and mid-calf leather boots. Even though it is an all-black outfit, it doesn’t look boring or dark at all because the combination of texture from the three pieces just add so much depth and character.

Wear with Black and White Striped Tee & White Denim Shorts

For a summer outfit that looks good but just different from everyone else, you can wear a black and white striped t shirt, a black denim jacket, white denim shorts, white sneakers and a black baseball cap. The use of colors is unique compared to the typical combination of blue denim jacket and blue denim jeans.

It is just not that easy to look good wearing mom jeans. The balance is the key. A good way to do that is to wear an oversized black denim jacket to balance out the high waisted mom jeans.

Here are some of my favorite tips on how to style the black denim jacket. I mean, I am a big fan of the blue denim jacket too. But you never how good you can look without exploring different colors, especially for items that are quite easy to pull off.
