It’s finally here! Insurgent, the second film in the Divergent series, premiered yesterday in New York! The cast were all dressed to kill on the red carpet – which looked a little sombre with all the black that the stars were wearing!
Shailene Woodley led the way, naturally, dressed in a plunging black gown. The beautiful dress was from the Ralph Lauren Fall/Winter 2015 line, and featured tuxedo-style detailing, with buttons at the waist. The super-low neckline was of course the main focus of the gown, but it also had a thigh-high split to the skirt.
She was joined on the red (actually blue) carpet by a very glamorous Maggie Q, who wore a black gown with a stunning sheer lace bodice. Zoe Kravitz also wore a dark-toned gown, although hers was a deep metallic pewter. Her dress was knee length, but featured a dramatic black lace train. She wore her hair in long braids falling down her back. Octavia Spencer didn’t veer far from the colour scheme either, pairing a black lace short-sleeved top with a pretty black and purple maxi skirt.
Actress Stefanie Scott opted for black and white, pairing a pretty bow-shaped black bandeau top with wide-legged white trousers for an outfit that oozed classic elegance. She even styled her hair in sleek Old Hollywood waves. Suki Waterhouse was one of the only people to completely abandon black, instead choosing a pretty blush-toned gown with numerous sheer panels and cut-outs. The floral tulle overlay made the dress specially pretty and ethereal.
Will you be heading to see Insurgent? What do you think of the cast’s red carpet style?
