Yesterday, the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association held their annual awards ceremony (the ASTRA Awards). The awards celebrate all the best talent in Australian TV, from drama to documentaries. It’s also a pretty glitzy occasion, with a whole host of Australian stars dressing up in their very best to walk the red carpet. Read on for some seriously amazing red carpet dresses!
As you’d imagine, former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins knows a thing or two about dressing well! She wore a stunning black dress with a sexy leather bodice and high centre split. Her hair and makeup were much more casual, with a soft smoky eye and a high ponytail.
Kate Peck looked stunning in a fitted strapless gown with an all-over silver-toned print. Her platinum hair is attention-grabbing in its own right, and she added even more drama with deep red lipstick and silver eyeshadow.
Model Bambi Northwood-Blythe wore an unusual top and skirt set in a python-print chiffon fabric. It featured a high, gathered neckline, and an uneven hemline. Definitely an attention-grabbing look, but perhaps not the most flattering!
Singer and songwriter Samantha Jade opted for a more classic red carpet gown, with more than a little old-school glamour. Her deep pink dress featured a plunging back, a flattering mermaid silhouette, peplum detailing, and a black tulle layer at the hem.
Nicole Kidman’s sister Antonia Kidman was at the event, wearing a pretty purple jumpsuit. She brought along her sixteen-year old daughter, Lucia, who looked absolutely stunning in a white dress with a lace bodice.
